Hello. Everyone calls me by Bill. I was raised in Carroll and Cass Counties. After a stint in the Army, I worked with my father who then owned a business in Flora. I met my wife in college here in Kokomo; this is where we now have our home. We have raised a family in Howard County. We like travelling to different places. I enjoy reading novels from John Grisham, James Patterson, and other authors. If you have a question about your library's physical buildings, etc., please bring the question to my attention. If you see me somewhere locally or in our library, allow me to say "hello" to you.
Hi, I am Brenda. I was born and raised in Kokomo. I have lived here all my life with the exception of moving to California for three years while my husband was in the Navy. I have several hobbies. My favorites are camping, shopping, vacationing, and reading of course. My favorite author is Nicolas Sparks. My favorite spots for vacationing are laying on a beach or travelling high-up in the mountains. I have one pet, a doxie, which I love dearly. Her name is Tootsie.
I enjoy spending my time writing, reading, crocheting, swimming and playing basketball with my siblings. I like to spend time with my husband going on walks and playing with our yorkie-poo. My family and friends are very important to me, and have made me who I am today. I am also a “missionary-aholic.” Any time a disaster occurs, I am ready to jump on the next ride to that city to help get it repaired. I have been to D’Iberville, Mississippi three times to help with repairs after Hurricane Katrina and to Joplin, Missouri one time to help with the tornado disaster. I will graduate this May from Ivy Tech with an Associate’s in Health Care Support, with two certificates, one in Phlebotomy and the other in Medical Office Assisting. I love my job here as a custodian, but my future goals are to become a Pediatric Nurse, and eventually travel to Cebu, Philippines, for a year or two to work as a nurse in the orphanage my siblings were adopted from.
I grew up outside of Kansas City Kansas. In my early 20’s I returned to Kokomo, where I was born, and have been here since that time. I love people and love being helpful. I take cleanliness, clutter and germ removal very seriously and treat the Library facilities like they are my own. You might catch me frowning in bad weather when rain, mud, slush, snow and salt get tracked into the buildings, but as soon as I see you, a bright smile will break across my face. After all, you are the reason I strive to keep the facilities clean, safe and inviting. If you see me, give me a wave and a smile; it will make my day brighter.
I was born and raised in Frankfort, IN. I come from a long line of good cooks and carpenters. I enjoy doing both. I spent 25 years in housekeeping at GM. I guess that’s why I work at the library, to clean and make the building look good.
