Technology Assistant


We are seeking a temporary Technology Assistant for KHCPL Main. The position is 27 hours a week, including some weekends and evenings, and starts at $9.59/hr. This position has the possibility of becoming permanent.


Responsibilities will include assisting patrons with various technology-related questions, balancing a cash drawer, and assisting the department in other ways to ensure our patrons have the best possible experience.

Part-time Children’s Clerk

KHCPL’s Childrens’ Department is seeking a part-time children’s clerk. Available immediately, the position is 24 hours a week, primarily weekends and evenings, and starts at $9.59/hr.


Responsibilities include assisting children and adults, locating and recommending materials, keeping our department in order, providing basic computer support, and assisting with programming. The successful candidate will be energetic, personable, cooperative, and self-starting. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of MS Office, the Internet, and other related technology equipment.

Part-time Russiaville Clerk


KHCPL is looking for a new clerk to work at our Russiaville Branch. This position, available in September, is 20 hours a week, including weekend and evening hours, and begins at $9.59/hr.


Responsibilities include assisting children and adults, locating and recommending materials, keeping the branch in order, and providing basic computer support. The successful candidate will be energetic, personable, cooperative, and self-starting. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of MS Office, the Internet, and other related technology equipment.

Page and Clerical Positions:

Applications for library page and clerical positions are accepted at all times, even when there are no openings, and are kept active for six months. An application may be filled out at any library location, or Apply Online.

 

Library Page: Part-time. Starting wage is $7.39 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. In most page positions, the primary responsibility is shelving books. Other duties might include shelf reading, locating materials, affixing labels on new materials, covering paperbacks, filing, and occasionally assisting patrons.

 

Library Clerk: Part-time. Starting wage is $9.59 / hour. Days and hours of work vary. Clerks perform tasks in many library departments. Duties range from processing new library materials, library card registration, collecting library fines and assisting patrons with checking out.


Pre-Employment Screening Requirements:

KHCPL has a vital interest in maintaining safe, legal and efficient working conditions for its employees and patrons. If the position requires driving a library vehicle, a good driving record is necessary.
